1-MINUTE RESET

1-Minute Reset for Anxiety, Overwhelm, and Emotional Calm

A very short mindfulness practice for when life feels too much.

Sometimes you do not need a long practice.
You need one quiet minute.

This 1-minute reset is a gentle way to pause, breathe, and settle when you feel anxious, overloaded, or emotionally stretched.

When to Use This 1-Minute Reset

This practice can help when:

  • your mind is racing
  • your body feels tense
  • you feel emotionally flooded
  • you need a quick pause in the middle of the day
  • you want to come back to yourself gently

If you need a slightly longer version, visit

The 1-Minute Reset Practice

Step 1. Pause.

Stop for a moment, if you can.
Let yourself arrive where you are.

Step 2. Feel one breath.

Do not force the breath.
Simply notice one natural in-breath and one natural out-breath.

Step 3. Notice what is here.

Quietly say to yourself:
“This is what is here right now.”

Step 4. Add one kind phrase.

You may say:

  • May I be gentle with this moment.
  • I do not need to fight myself right now.
  • One breath is enough for now.

Step 5. Continue softly.

Return to your next moment a little more slowly.

Ultra-Short Version

Pause.

Feel one breath.

Let this moment be here.

Say one kind phrase.

Why This Helps

A short reset works because it interrupts automatic stress for a moment.

Instead of staying caught in tension, you create a little space.
That space can help you feel less reactive and more present.
